Apparently a Physicist-turned-Surfer (surfing the oceans, not them interwebs) from Hawaii has discovered a theory of everything. As if the 11-or-so dimensions of string theory were not confusing enough, this theory is based on an exotic, 248-dimensional mathematic structure called ‘E8′ (see here for a simple explanation). There’s also an extensive discussion on Slashdot.

He calls it the theory of everything, but I doubt it can explain why Sachin Tendulkar keeps getting out in the 90s.
