Apple announced yesterday the world’s thinnest notebook The Macbook Air- It’s only .75 inches thick! And weighs a little more than a KG. The thing is really beautiful, but comes at a hefty price - $1799! It has some really cool features too - An optional ($999) solid-state drive, “802.11n” (WiFi + WiMax) support and lots of show-off potential. If I had the money, I’d definitely get one of these things ![]()

This thing is everything disposable culture is about, dont get me wrong i love technology, i converted to mac from PC and think they are a great company when it comes to design and interface but to sell something for the sake of being thin and lighter, than already thin and light macbooks…. apple usually wait till something is perfect before release … ok wheres the cd drive, firewire/usb ports dvd drive combo drive, inputs useful inputs… this is for the rich kids who have to show off, itll be out of date as soon as the next version is released, the worlds in a state of confusion and turmoil and people spend money on THIS…. come on apple set an example stop being sooooo disposable releasing ipod after ipod, laptop after laptop try releasing something that will last can be updated and not redundant so quickly, its a business yes and its all sell sell sell, but its a changing world and consumer exploitation is not on anymore, set an example dont be part of the problem.
p.s people carry water on the heads for hours and miles just to get water, young and old, non of us our so weak we cant carry a macbook, its tiny, to me this is for weaklings and people who dont care.
