IBM, it seems, is planning to build “a global-scale shared computer capable of hosting the entire Internet as an application“. That means that this super-computer will have enough processing power and storage to rival ALL of the computers connected to the internet COMBINED!

Oh, this is just great! Building a super-computer that knows everything. Haven’t the movies warned us about things like these? A super-duper-computer that knows everything and one day, it becomes self-aware and decides it doesn’t like humans and sets out to destroy them. Oh! Why don’t people learn?
